HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

Job Summary: Reports directly to the Human Resources Director (HRD) and provides administrative assistant support to the HRD and Human Resource Generalist(s). Provides administrative assistant support to Occupational Health RN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains Human Resources Director’s (HRD) calendar by adding, updating, and deleting appointments as needed.
Answers incoming HR Department telephone and directs calls as appropriate.
Maintains PCC’s master job vacancy binder and updates PCC’s Careers website to ensure positions are posted accurately and closed positions are removed on a timely basis.
Forwards qualified candidates’ resumes to hiring manager for review and consideration.
Maintains inventory of all PCC Job Descriptions and updates as directed by HRD as needed.
Maintains all PCC evaluation tools and metrics for each job title to ensure all job requirements are reflected accurately as directed by HRD as needed.
Prepares New Employee Orientation (NEO) handouts and schedules NEO accordingly.
Prepares New Hire Packets as needed.
Forwards New Hire/Termination IT Setup/Delete form to helpdesk.
Maintains documentation of all Human Resources policies and procedures as requested by HRD.
Proof reads documents as requested.
Maintains PCC’s master staff tracking list of required documents via ADP.
Prepares various reports and Human Resources Department statistics for HRD’s review.
Generate and email New Hire Department Orientation Checklist report to applicable managers, due 30 days after NEO.
Performance Internet research and collects facts and figures for proposals and budgets as directed by HRD.
Assists Occupational Health RN to ensure pre-employment physicals and drug screening results are received timely.
Maintains a well-organized, clean, safe, and secure work environment.
Maintains the contact database for HRD.
Participates and completes all mandatory in-services as required by administration.
Works collaboratively with all members of the Senior Management team to function as a cohesive and professional unit.
Constantly strives to achieve excellence in day-to-day operations of respective department.
Participates in and adhere to PCC Corporate Compliance program and standards.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Training:
Associate’s Degree in a related field is required.
2-3 years of experience in Human Resources is preferred.
Proficient in MS Office Business Applications to include: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, bend and stretch.
Ability to travel and maneuver between site locations if needed.
Ability to lift 10 pounds.
Ability to type for long periods of time.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and write proficiently using the English language.
Ability to interact and speak effectively in interpersonal situations.
